Eagle Mountain Lake

Spanning across 8,738 acres and 60 miles of shoreline, Eagle Mountain Lake is our area’s hidden gem. Whether you like to sail, ski, fish, or relax, our local lake has something for everyone. Eagle Mountain Lake is home to The Golf Club at the Resort, a beautiful 18-hole championship course, on the eastern shore of the lake. With a great selection of fishing and swimming coves, and a booming business community with great restaurants and bars, Eagle Mountain Lake is fun for the entire family.

Eagle Mountain Lake was created by damming the West Fork of the Trinity River in 1932. The 8,738 acre lake sits below Lake Bridgeport and above Lake Worth, just north of Fort Worth Texas. The lake dam was finished on October 24, 1932. In 1965, the District voters (Tarrant Regional Water District) approved a bond issue to allow the District to install improved controlled spillways. It is a relatively popular attraction. Eagle Mountain Lake is a popular destination for boating, fishing, wake boarding, water skiing, and kayaking.
